The Tampa Bay Fossil Club is a family oriented organization focused on paleontology, archaeology, and the natural sciences in general. Meetings are held monthly September - May at the University of South Florida and feature prominent speakers from many areas of science.

Everyone is welcome at our club meetings — no membership required. Come hear a speaker, meet fellow fossil enthusiasts, and get to know the club before you join. Visit our Meetings page for details.

Join the Adventure: Member Benefits

Explore with the club. Membership gives you the ability to join club field trips to the Peace River, various CEMEX mines, and Bone Valley Fossil Farm. See the Field Trips page for more information.
Get the Chronicles. Our members-only newsletter is published monthly September–May, with delivery starting when you sign up during the publication season. Choose email or postal mail when you apply. Each issue brings club updates, dates and details for upcoming field trips, FossilFest planning news, and articles. The Chronicles is never posted online — membership is the only way to receive it.
Help bring FossilFest to life. Members can volunteer at FossilFest and receive a free T-shirt! The Tampa Bay Fossil Club has hosted the nation's largest amateur fossil show for more than 30 years; and it can't be done without our volunteers!
Stay connected. Members and prospective members may request to join the club's Facebook group.

Membership also supports our fossil community. The club awards two annual scholarships to students studying paleontology or geology at a Florida college or university.

A Full Year of Membership

Your membership starts on your application date and ends one year later. A renewal notice will appear on your last copy of the Chronicles.

Club membership and a fossil permit are separate. Membership does not include the $5 fossil permit provided by the University of Florida. You can obtain the permit separately through its online payment portal.

Apply and Pay Online

Choose your membership: Use the matching button below for a new membership or a renewal.
Complete the online application: You will be directed to a website form through Tally. Provide your membership and contact information in Tally. If you are renewing, indicate that on the form.
Complete payment through Square: After submitting the application, you will be directed to checkout. Use the same member name and email so the club can match your payment to your application.

Both steps are needed: Submitting the application does not complete payment. Please finish checkout with Square.
